The reason why I would went there, alone without any friends, simply because I want to see the queen of pole vault from Russia, Yelena Isinbaeva on final. And who knows, I might have a chance to see Koji Murofushi, Japanese Hammer Throw athlete.
Using my poor camera, tried to catch some actions of those athletes.
Jennifer Stuczynski, Yelena Isinbaeva, Jackson Gay, and many more.
In my own country, I don't think I would spend this much money to buy the ticket. Check the amount I have spent.
August 6th, left home early morning. 5:30 AM while most of people still enjoying their dreams. I started my summer holiday trip today. My first destination was, Nagoya. I should met some friends there at 10:00 AM. It was so hot, even still early morning. Train was crowded, could not found any seats. After awhile, then I just sit on my backpack. Four times I need to changed the train. When I was already in the last train going to Nagoya, I met Grace, Keren, and Chin. I didn't know they were going to the same destination. Actually from the first train, we were always in the same trains.
Exactly 9:41 AM (trains and buses here always punctual) we arrived at Nagoya station. My friends will met Ta san, while I met Teh Juju.
Another photo taken, in front of Wicket gate of Nagoya station.
I went to visit Nagoya University with Teh Juju, Weti , NIngrum and Diza (that little girl).
A photo taken in front of Nagoya University.
Then we went straight to Shizuoka, where Teh Juju live with their family. 4:00 PM from Nagoya station, and arrived in Shizuoka station at 8:30 PM.
Yapparii.... This is what I always wanted to do since I came here. Learning how to make tea for Japanese Tea Ceremony. Seems easy, but actually there are many things we must do in order and sequences. How to clean the tea bowl, how to fold the napkins, how to circle the bowl, how to put things, etc. I don't think I would be able to do it one more time without guidance from the expert.
All meetings I have arranged for this week-end has been canceled.
Felt a bit upset at first.
But,
good thing is, I able to study and finish some works which I must submit by July 20th.
Oh Nihonggo.... Nihonggo...
All those kanji(s) get me headache sometimes.
And have to work on it, no matter what.
Those two dolls, Snoopy and Katie,
watching me to make sure that I really do my works.
Instead of busy on internet. Hehehe.......
P.S. Soon....
Summer holiday will come.
Waiting forward to it!
Looks so easy. Basically, we just need ground meat, ground shrimp, eggs (use the white part only), some salts, nira vegie (not really sure how to say it in English).
After it all mix together, lalu ambil kulit gyouza (agak mirip kulit martabak tapi lebih kecil), put some gyouza meat, until it all covered inside.
Ki said, my gyouza shape is beautiful.. hehe....
After all done, we can either boil or fry the gyouza.
Eat it with some sauces, which I don't know the name.
We enjoyed this gyouza making, as well as the eating. We also ate a Korean food name sajimi (or something like that). Made of some flour, nira vegie, onion, squid or shrimp. And eat it with some hot sauce.
Hm.... oishiii...
Since we ate a lot this evening. Around 9 PM, me, Sally, Ki and Ivonne went out for jogging. We should do that more often I think. It is always fun to be with friends.
Had a little dinner with some friends in the kitchen. Cooked some 'nasi kuning', Indonesian fried chicken, 'perkedel kentang', etc. Honestly, in Indonesia I don't really do that. But here, I don't know why.... I just want to show my friends how we celebrate our birthday. Which is, make nasi kuning. I am glad everybody enjoyed my cook.
Hmm.... I had a great time today. This moment will always in my mind.
"Tadi pagi, perasaan gue campur aduk. Antara senang, terharu dan sedih. Untuk beberapa saat gue tercenung sambil terisak. Cuma gara-gara terima text message dari ibu yang isinya begini:
'Selamat ulang tahun anakku sayang. Semoga sukses studi-nya, mendapat berkah rahmat Allah, dan dapat jodoh yang sholeh'
Coba deh, gimana gue 'gak nangis terharu? Ini pertama kalinya ibu panggil gue pake tambahan sayang. Beliau sering sebut anakku, tanpa tambahan sayang. Pasti ibu rindu sekali sama gue, seperti juga gue yang rindunya segunung sama ibu.
Ibu sekarang lagi ngapain ya? Apa dia sedang mikir tentang gue juga? Gue tau banget, setiap malam beliau bangun, hampir 'gak pernah absen.
Amin yaa Rabbal 'aalamiin".
Yesterday, June 22nd was my 4th time of school visit here. And this time, I went to an elementary school in Ikeda city. With Hankyu Line, Ikeda is just next to Ishibashi station. I don't know why, but whenever I hear Ishibashi I feel excited. Maybe 1st, it was my former place when first time I came here. And 2nd one, I know almost every corner of Ishibashi.
This party is "kind of" the first time for some International Students here. Guess, since everybody had worked very hard at school, we earned this party. I feel I need a party as well. Study from Monday through Friday on 'tight schedule' had given me headache sometimes. The idea of held a party came from Arash (Afghan). When he said that, I just said yes.
Weather here is getting colder. I wanted to dare myself, how long I
could stand without wearing any coat. But I couldn't go out without
wearing my coat now. It's been the 3rd week-end that rain keep coming
when we tried to go out. Yesterday, on Sunday we went to Banpaku-kinen
koen. Flowers bloom, and air is so fresh here. But then again, rain
start. Followed with hard windy blowed. So, we decided to go back home.
I guess yesterday was not a good day to go out.
After from Banpaku koen, I met my host-family. Akiko san picked me up
at Sone station. Took me few minutes to get there. Because, again, I
took a wrong direction. Instead of taking the right side, I took other
side. Luckily, I realised that after 1 station left behind. I only
wasted 3 minutes. And Akiko san kept calling me to ask where I was.
From Sone, she took me to a Gym club. It was a good place. The staff
took us for a 'tour' around that area. From there, we moved to Diamond
mall. We ate ice cream there. O ya, Akiko san also brought her
daughters, Emily and Miray. They are so lovely and cute. It's because
their mom from Japan, and dad from Turkey.
After finished the ice cream, we went for window shopping. We didn't
have mucht time there because we will have a dinner in their house.
Dinner was great. Ate Turkish salad, Turkish dishes and some chickens.
They are very warm family.
I back home at 22:00. Akiko san took me a lift to my dormitory. Then I
took a bath, tried to sleep at 23:00. I couldn't sleep well. I guess
tomorrow will be a hard day for me.
